Costumed Fans Please EP3 Audience in Ottawa Posted By Britany on May 19, 2005
Three Star Wars fans in Canada found themselves the main attraction at an Episode III screening in Ottawa. Yiddleja writes:
We decided to dress up. One of us went as Darth Maul, another as Boba Fett and myself as the dark lord himself, Darth Vader.
We got to the theatre (Silvercity Gloucester screen #9 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) at around 10:00pm to meet up with Darth Maul (he got there at 8:00pm). He was already in the theatre and got us prime seats even though he was the 101st person (approx) to actually enter it.
Well, let me tell you - people flocked to us. There were not many fans in costumes but man, people starting taking pics with their camera phones, digital cameras and conventional cameras - it was weird.
So here is where it gets even weirder. When we finally sat down, one guy came to me and got me to sign his hat. Another guy then proceeded to get me to sign his nipple on a bet from his friends. I'm sure that somewhere in Ottawa there was a drunken fan walking around with my initials on his nipple.
After the movie was over (BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!) we went for coffee to wind down because we were so hyper. So imagine the look of the Tim Horton's counter lady when Vader, Boba and Maul order a round of triple triples.
