I arrived at the AMC 16 Burbank for the 5/19 12:01 A.M. showing for Episode III at 2:00 P.M (5/18), and was about number 100 in a line for that showing.
I came dressed as a Count Dooku, and was delighted to see many very friendly and courteous fans (I went with 9 of my co-workers).
There were a good amount of costumes as well, including a group of 4 Jedi in costume who were handing out MOC Star Wars action figures to children. The 4 looked very impressive as Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Luminara Unduli and Obi-Wan Kenobi (the 4 were headed over to the Arclight Theatre later on to view the movie).
Nearby eating establishments were offering discounts to all who came in Star Wars costumes or who had ticket stubs.
There was a lot of energy for the show, and the fans applauded at nearly all of the trailers except for 1st one (The Adventures Of Shark Boy and Lava Girl).
The movie was good, and action packed. Yoda appeared to be THE definite crowd favorite. When we left the theatre at approx 2:45 A.M., the concession stands were full, with the line for the 3:30am showing circling around the block. This was a good experience and something that I can hopefully tell my kids one day.
