ARENA GRAND THEATRE PRESENTS 24-HOURS CONTINUOUS SHOWS FOR THE STAR WARS GRAND-EXTRAVAGANZA WEEKEND
The place to be for any avid Star Wars fan next week will be The Arena Grand Theatre in Columbus, OH - the city's only all THX theatre! Wednesday May 18th opening night festivities 'officially' begin at 4:00PM with the much anticipated Line Party, followed by a 12:01 midnight, 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM screenings the morning of the 19th. The midnight screening is COMPLETELY SOLD OUT- more than 1,600 fans will be at the Arena Grand Theatre to participate in the opening night events and to be the first to view the film! Late night munchies will be available for the middle-of -the-night die-hards, and a continental breakfast will be available for the 'see it before work' crowd! Reserved balcony seating is still available for the second and third screenings as well as selected performances throughout the weekend.

Theatre Installs Hotel Suite for Columbus's #1 Star Wars Fan
For Columbus's most committed fan, the Grand has installed a mock luxury suite hotel room in front of the theatre, courtesy of Crowne Plaza Hotels. The canopied 'room' will include a bed, dresser, seating, and an entertainment system complete with a DVD player, Star Wars DVDs and video games to enjoy during their stay! Beginning at noon Monday, May 16, the first person in line outside of the theatre will get to spend the rest of their wait in VIP style that's fit for a Jedi Knight.
Line party activities starting Wednesday May 18th 4:00PM include:*
20 members of the 501st Star Wars Re-Enactment Troop - Ohio Division will be in costume (Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, biker scouts, etc.) for entertainment and photo ops with fans.
Original Artwork displays by Lucasfilm sanctioned Star Wars artist Joe Corroney, illustrator of Star Wars comics for DarkHorse Comic Books; as well as works by Justin Chung illustrator of TOPPS Star Wars movie card sets.
Award winning short tribute "Fan films" will be projected inside the lobby.
Light saber battle presentations and Entertainment by costumed members of Columbus-based science fiction club Maximillian.
Contests include Star Wars trivia, video game battles, Chewbacca calling- and much more!
Prizes awarded including an actual Darth Vader costume!
Realistic Authentic Props from the original Star Wars trilogy including full size Darth Vader and Stormtrooper costumes will be on display from the collection of Columbus resident Gino Sabatino
*Select activities will continue through opening weekend.
Realistic Star Wars characters, a Death Star hovering in the lobby, a display of authentic costumes and 1,600-plus Star Wars fanatics -- Wednesday, May 18th, the cinema will look more like a Star Wars convention than a movie theatre!
