Another NJ Theater Messes Up EP3 Posted By Britany on May 19, 2005
The force was definitely not with New Jersey for midnight screenings. Here's another horror story from a different theater. Darth Griffin writes:
Here is some news about problems at the Edgewater Multiplex, NJ for the 2nd straight Star Wars movie.
I attended the 12:01am showing in Auditorium #3 and just like three year ago at the premiere of Attack of the Clones, the staff at the Multiplex ruined the experience for a packed theater of Star Wars fans.
Three years ago as a packed theater came to see Attack of the Clones at the midnight showing in Digital, the theater didn't have any staff on duty that could operate the digital projector, let alone fix a problem with it. This resulted in fans having to wait nearly 3 hours to see it on film when one of the other theaters got out.
Well, this year in auditorium #3, they managed to ruin the first 3 minutes of the movie by having the screen completely distorted with the top 1/3 of the frame showing at the bottom and the bottom 2/3s showing at the top. When I complained to the manager on duty he stated that since people didn't really complain, that it wasn't a problem. Let me tell you this, the entire theater was outraged at the complete incompetence of the Multiplex staff.
