Box Office Mojo reports that Revenge of the Sith made an estimated $108.5m over the weekend in North America. If estimates hold, it will be the 2nd highest grossing weekend ever behind Spider-Man, which made $114.8m over its opening weekend, but had the advantage of a Friday opening.

Revenge of the Sith does hold the record for the highest gross over its first 4 days with $158.5m, putting it ahead of 'The Matrix Reloaded' which made $134.2m.

Overseas, Revenge of the Sith has so far grossed $144.7m, for a cumulative worldwide gross of $303.2m. This figure could be higher, as it doesn't say if all countries grosses have been taken into account.

Revenge of the Sith also holds the record for the highest gross over its first 3 days with $124.7m, ahead of Spider-Man which made $114.8m.

Brandon from Box Office Mojo confirms that the $144.7m overseas estimate covers all 105 countries showing Revenge of the Sith.

All figures will be revised on Monday when the actual grosses are released.
