Lucasfilm's "The Seventh Tower" hits stores Posted By Scott on June 18, 2000
Lucasfilm's newest non-Star Wars novel has hit stores. "The Seventh Tower - Book One - The Fall" is now widely available. Published by Scholastic and aimed at younger readers, this book takes place completely out of the Star Wars Universe. Written by Garth Nix, it weighs in at a hefty (for a young reader book) 195 pages. Here's the text on the back:
The sky will fall.
Tal has lived his whole life in darkness. He has never left his home, a mysterious castle of seven towers. He does not see the threat that will tear apart his family and his world.
But Tal cannot stay safe forever. When danger strikes, he must desperately climb the Red Tower to steal a Sunstone. He reaches the top....
....and then falls into a strange and unknown world of warriors, iceships, and hidden magic. There Tal makes an enemy who will save his life - and holds the key to his future.
"I hope that the adventure that unfolds in The Seventh Tower will take readers on a new journey of the mind." - George Lucas
