John Williams Concert
- August 30th, 2003
Hollywood Bowl, California

Last night I saw John Williams at the Hollywood bowl and the show was absolutely wonderful. I have gone every year for the past 7 years to see him at the bowl, but this was by far my favorite so far.

The first half started with a little montage of many famous movie themes including Jaws, Godfather, and ET. He then went into some Catch Me If You Can, and some wonderful Harry Potter music.

The entire second half of the performance was all Star Wars material. To top it all off, James Earl Jones, Darth Vader himself narrated the performance. John played pieces from each movie in the order of the movies. Started with the title theme, then Duel of the Fates, Tatooine Theme, Across the Stars, Imperial March, Mos Eisly Cantina, Leia's Theme, Asteroid Field, Yoda's Theme, Ewok Theme, and then the Medal Ceremony.

IT was a great show with a lot of fans in the audience. Many had the toy light sabers which isn't anything new. But this was the first year that I noticed people with the Master Replica's. The bowl was packed, absolutely no seats and the audience was great. After two encores which included Superman and Indiana Jones, Mr. Williams took his final bow and left the stage. I was supremely happy about the show.

Feedback welcome
