Star Wars Named Best Music Of All Time Posted By Justin on September 23, 2009
Our friend Ricky Claydon from Totalscifionline.com sends us this article that lists the top 10 movie scores of all time. And it is no surprise that the masterful work done by John Williams heads this impressive list of movie music. Aside from "The Maker" himself and artist Ralph McQuarrie, nobody has been more "instrumental" in creating the Star Wars universe that we have all come to cherish.
As Yoda would say: "The Holy Trinity of Star Wars, they do form."
The top 10 are listed as follows:
1) Star Wars (John Williams) 2) Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (James Horner) 3) Blade Runner (Vangelis) 4) Star Trek the Motion Picture (Jerry Goldsmith) 5) Flash Gordon (Queen) 6) 2001: A Space Odyssey (Richard and Johann Strauss, György Ligeti) 7) The Day the Earth Stood Still (Bernard Herrmann) 8) Close Encounters of the Third Kind (John Williams) 9) Aliens (James Horner) 10) Transformers the Movie (Vince DiCola / Stan Bush)
