ODEON RECRUITS STAR WARS FANATICS AT CINEMAS ACROSS THE COUNTRY? ...
IN PREPARATION FOR THE FINAL INSTALMENT
ODEON, the UK's biggest cinema chain, has recruited Star Wars boffins across its estate in preparation for the imminent opening of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the final instalment of the series.
To qualify for the accolade of "ODEON Star Wars Fanatic" each nominated staff member answered 20 gruelling Star Wars trivia questions and convinced ODEON why they were the best Jedi for the job.
David Hughes, from ODEON Blackpool, has been chosen as ODEON's ultimate Star Wars fanatic. He was handpicked from ODEON staff across the UK after a nationwide search, for his phenomenal Star Wars knowledge and die hard passion for the film. He will be on hand at ODEON Blackpool to answer any Star Wars related questions - however bizarre - that customers might throw at him.
David has been a true Star Wars fan ever since the first instalment in 1977 when he was just seven years old. He timed his first holiday to the US to coincide with the opening date of the release of Phantom Menace, he saw Empire strikes back 13 times in a month in 1980, he collects Star Wars figures, buys a new light sabre every time a new film opens and he'll be attending the Star Wars marathon in Leicester Square on May 16th where he will watch all 6 Star Wars film back to back for the first time.
Commenting on his new role David says: "I'm really excited to have been voted ODEON's number one Star Wars fanatic. I've been obsessed with the films for so long now it's great to be able to utilise my passion in my everyday job and hope I'll be able to offer customers some fun trivia and even a small insight into the dark side!
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, starring Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor, Christopher Lee and Samuel L Jackson, goes on nationwide general release on May 19th 2005 at ODEON cinemas across the country.
