this Mairan Jedi Master assisted Odan-Urr at the Great Library of the Jedi on Ossus, during the decades leading up to the Great Sith War. It was believed that Master Anstak had been an outcast among his people because of his connection to the Force. His offices were located deep under ground, so they survived the initial cataclysm caused by the Great Sith War and the creation of the Cron Drift. However, the planet Ossus experienced many seismic events in the wake of the supernova, and Master Anstak was trapped in his offices during one earthquake. This quake also opened a fissure in the lower levels of the Jedi library, and Master Anstak was drowned when water flooded the lower levels. His records, however, were largely preserved, and were discovered by archaeologists many millennia later, during the final decades of the Old Republic. A holorecording made by Master Anstak before his death revealed the location of a lost city on the planet Kamino, where several ancient Jedi artifacts had been stored. However, investigations into the location of Kamino proved fruitless, and the search for the lost city was eventually abandoned.
