this dense area of interstellar gas was located near the planet Dantooine. Its name came from the fact that the nebulous region lacked any light-producing or light-reflecting bodies, and was therefore dark and seemingly impenetrable. For many years after the Clone Wars, the Ebon Essentia was a warzone, torn apart by the hostilities between the Force Assassins and the Warrens Assault Squad.
