Essic Daroom
this Ithorian explorer was an expert of hyperspace travel, and served the Hyperspace Navigator's Guild on Empress Teta during the last decades of the Old Republic. Daroom and his team were responsible for validating the hyperspace data that was maintained in the Guild's immense computers, continually comparing existing maps and charts with new information brought back by explorers. He often boasted that the three-dimensional map of the galaxy maintained in the Guild's main headquarters in Cinnagar was more detailed than the map that was found in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Because of his love of map-making, Daroom was known to his peers as simply "Cartographer."
