known as the Suppressor, this was the Merr-Sonn riot control weapon produced for the police forces which protected the planet Coruscant during the height of the New Order. Using compressed Brix-C fluid, the R-88 fired a continuous, aerosol stream of stunning chemicals at its target. With two cylindrical tanks, the R-88 could be fired ten times before needing to be recharged. The stormtroopers who used the R-88 liked it for its accuracy, which was comparable to most modern blasters.
