this Balmorran Arms automaton was developed to address the security and defense needs of musicians and artists who were traveling the galaxy during the last decades of the Old Republic. In additon to being equipped with several sensor suites and advanced life-protection programming, each RO-D could be armed with lethal or non-lethal weaponry. They were also capable of moving heavy loads, and were designed to be used as roadies when not on active duty. Unlike most other droids, the RO-D was available in more than 70 different color schemes, allowing musicians to use them discreetly in virtually any stage set-up.
