Brian tells us that in the Fall 2000 issue of Teen Movieline magazine, Paul Walker is on the cover and is also the main interview in the issue. In the article, he mentions the casting of Anakin.

Q: Do you really take it hard if you don't get a job you really want?

A: I was bummed out that I didn't get the part of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode II. But there were rumors circulating, so I don't know how close I came to actually getting it. Josh Jackson was apparently in talks to play Anakin, too. [Laughs] (they starred in "The Skulls" together)

You can't say anything, but a part of me was thinking, "You ******---you'd better not get it over me!" At the same time, you're happy if he does get it rather than Hayden Christensen, some no-namer from Canada. He'll probably be good, though. Well, at least he'll show up on time and know his lines. [Laughs]
