Meeting Mark Hamill
Coconut Grove Playhouse, Miami Florida
March 21st, 2003

My friend and I got VIP tickets to the opening of Mark Hamill's play "Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks" on March 21, 2003, in the Coconut Grove playhouse, Miami Florida. In a thoroughly entertaining two and a half hour performance, we see Hamill as he has never been seen before, portraying a dance instructor in his early forties in Miami Beach, Florida.

After the show we were invited to the after party; a classy dinner in the Sonasta Hotel, Coconut Grove. Sure enough, in walks the Jedi Master himself. We finally decide to approach him after about half an hour of working up the nerve. I tried to be cool about it, but being the gawky fanboy adolescent I am, I probably failed miserably. He was exceptionally good natured about autographs and such, considering he had his whole family present (minus Nathan Hamill) and was probably tired from the play and all. Anyway, he gave us a few autographs, and, to my delight, a picture, which is included in the attachment.

I, Josh, am on Mark Hamill's right hand, and my friend Jeremy is on Hamill's left hand.

Unfortunately the play is no longer in session, else I would recommend to everyone in the area to see it ASAP.

Feedback welcome
