Meeting Mark Hamill
Empire Fan Fest - Secaucus, NJ
April 18th, 2004

I had such a wonderful experience meeting Mark Hamill...yes Luke himself!!!

It was at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Secaucus, NJ. Somewhere between 100-200 people showed up. (I missed my chance meeting him 10 years ago at a comic book shop by one day, but I finally had my chance).

He came out after showing clips of him on various TV shows including SNL, Conan, Leno, etc. for a 75 minute Q and A. He is such an amicable person. Most of the session included him talking about what he is doing now, especially about comic book the movie, which I have yet to see. But I finally asked him what he thought about the prequels and he said he liked them but they were different. He said they were too British and that there was no skepticism and he proceeded to talk about his camaraderie with the original cast. He does a dead-on impersonation of Harrison Ford and George Lucas.

No episode III news as he talked about a meeting with Lucas a couple of weeks ago that went:

Hamill: So, George, how's the last movie coming along? Aren't you excited!?!
Lucas as voiced by Hamill: Yeah same old stuff, things are fine.

Then he signed pictures that he brought with him and then took a picture with everyone there. It was a dream come true.

Feedback welcome
