While book #1 of Karen Miller's TCW: Gambit duology, Star Wars: Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth, is due to hit bookshelves on February 23, 2010, the Star Wars author has apparently finished the follow up.

On Sunday, Miller took to her LiveJournal and noted that she had completed Star Wars: Clone Wars Gambit: Siege:

"Well, subject to final approval. But I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. One thing I can safely say -- it's chockfull of action.

I've had a blast writing these two books. They're one big story split into two volumes, with a cliffhanger ending in the middle, and lots of fun character work to balance the lightsabers and blasters and space stuff."


Then the Star Wars author hopped online on Monday to update us that NOW the novel was really complete:

"Yeah, so, I know I said yesterday it was done, but then I woke up this morning with this nasty nagging feeling that it wasn't and while I was driving out to do a mail check for Dad, who's away, my brain exploded and I realized I had to tweak 3 scenes. So today I tweaked the 3 scenes and had a general quick double check of the back half of the ms and now, some 10 hours later, I can really say it's done. And while I wish my brain would kick me in the arse sooner, when it comes to bits that need fixing, at least it did kick me in time and not when I was holding the published book in my hand."


Star Wars: Clone Wars Gambit: Siege is currently listed for release on July 6, 2010.
