Ashley Eckstein from Her Universe was interviewed for about.com recently. Here's a brief snippet.
"JH - What's your favorite piece? Why?
AE - That's a hard question because every design has a story behind it and that's kind of like asking someone to choose between their kids! However, one item that I have a soft spot for would be our Ahsoka Tano tunic top. We carry it in adult and youth sizes. Costume fashion is definitely all the rage. "Cosplay" is becoming more popular for people of all ages; however, walking around in a costume all the time is uncomfortable and not practical. So we created our "Everyday Cosplay" line where girls can dress like their favorite character but not have to sacrifice on comfort or style. I can 100% say that Her Universe would not exist today if I had not been cast as the voice of Ahsoka Tano on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She is the first female Jedi that's ever been a lead character in Star Wars. She is such a strong and positive character for girls and in a day and age where kids, especially girls, have so many bad influences she is inspiring girls to be great. Being the voice of this character inspired me to do more and to be a reflection of this wonderful role model for female fans. It also got me in front of the right people the make my company possible. We created a very comfortable tunic top, complete with thumbholes and a hood to resemble Ahsoka's costume. I love seeing girls of all ages wear this top, run around with a lightsaber, and truly believe that they can be a superhero, too!"
