3rd Essential Character Guide On The Way

We have a few pieces of EU news for you this fine spring morning. First up, in honor of last week's release of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare, Eric has a post up at Suvudu which compares GFFA battles to those of the real world.

The folks at Del Rey are back from their Easter break. Yesterday, Erich Schoeneweiss took to the Star Wars Books Facebook page to do a little Darth Bane teasing while also noting that we have a third Essential Guide to Characters on the way.

"Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. I spent the majority of mine reading Drew Karpyshyn's manuscript for his next novel, The Old Republic: Annihilation (Nov '12). I still have the last few chapters to finish this afternoon but so far it's been a fast, fun, and really exciting read. I love Drew's books. At the moment I'm working on reviewing the outline and prepping a preliminary art list for the third Essential Guide to Characters book. Which character are you hoping to see in the book? (ES)"

Finally, Amazon is now displaying a cover for the upcoming Star Wars Art: Illustration book (pictured above). This latest addition to the Star Wars Art book series is currently scheduled for an October 1, 2012 release. Besides lots of artwork, the book will include an Introduction from Steven Heller and a Foreword by Howard Roffman.
