*NSYNC are not instantly recognisable here in the UK, but generally, I think it's a bad idea. While it may be "clever" to cast Daniels and Best as extras, Star Wars is timeless, boy bands are not. (by CloneWarrior)

I am sure their part is so insignificant that it really isn't that big of a deal. However, the very idea of them being in the film makes the movie seem less real. Even if you don't see them or recognize them, their names will still be associated with the film. (by Ryan)
