May The 4th Event In Denver, CO

Our good friend Ben sent word of a Star Wars May the 4th event coming to Denver, Colorado...

"May is an important time for all Star Wars fans, because it's the anniversary of Star Wars' release in the theatres, but at Wings Over the Rockies it's an even more special time. It's the anniversary of the first Star Wars Celebration, which was held right here at the Hangar, and it's also marks the start of the X-Wing Project, the fan group who restored the X-Wing and insured that it would always keep its home at Wings Over the Rockies.

This will be our 2nd Annual May the Fourth Be With You at Wings Over the Rockies, and it's going to be out of this world! This year we will be re-dedicating the X-Wing to our project founder, and former Rocky Mountain FanForce Chapter Rep, Tim "Kitarusapien" Tracey, and our special guest will be Dan Madsen, former head of the Star Wars Fan Club and the man behind the scenes at Her Universe, as well as the guy who brought Celebration and the X-Wing to Denver.

At the event, you'll be able to train with real Stormtroopers, build your own lightsaber with a Jedi Master, create an Ewok or a Wookiee in our Galactic Zoology Lab, or work on your very own comic with the folks at Comic Book Classroom.

Invite your friends, bring the whole family, this is going to be a fantastic event for Star Wars fans of all ages as we celebrate 35 years of awesome coming to us from a galaxy far, far away!"
