On Location: Part 20
A Noble Performance

Summary by: Don Keefe

(Please note that the following comments are my opinions and speculations regarding the production of Episode II and do not necessarily reflect those of TheForce.net)

Finally an actress introduces the On Location clip again. However she is not one of the club girls she?s wearing what looks like a heavy fur lined coat, hat and gloves. I wonder if that?s hers or part of her costume? Will there be a scene in the cold in Episode II? This 2 minute and 24 second interview with Trisha Noble is very interesting. The interview with her is interesting because it takes place on set so you can see one of the buildings being used for Episode II in the background. But if you look behind her you can see some pretty interesting things, which I will cover in a bit.

Ahmed: Ahmed Best here, www.starwars.com On Location, on set, we?re talking to more native Australian actresses. We are here on the Fox Sydney lot here in Sydney Australia. Good afternoon, how are you?

Trisha: Just fine thank you.
Ahmed: Tell everyone on the World Wide Web who you are.
Trisha: Trisha Noble

Ahmed: Trisha Noble you are here on the Star Wars Episode II set are you excited?
Trisha: I am absolutely stoked to be doing Star Wars.
Ahmed: She?s stoked to be doing Star Wars, just like the rest of us. Had you been a Star Wars fan? Have you seen any of the episodes?

Trisha: All of them, I?ve always been a Star Wars fan.

Ahmed: So when you were approached to do the part that you?re doing ?We?re not going to tell you what part she?s doing? So when you were approached to do the part that you?re doing how did you approach it? Did you develop a back-story? Did you do something to get you into the Star Wars mood? Did you watch a bunch of movies? What happened?
Trisha: Well, I got out the Phantom Menace again and had another really good look at it and I can?t tell you what else I did it might give away the secret of who I?m playing but yes I?m so thrilled and I don?t want it to end, it?s so good, so much fun.

Ahmed: What?s it like working with Mr. George Lucas?
Trisha: Umm.. Is he around?
Ahmed: No, you can say anything you want.
Trisha: He?s the best; it?s just so great to work with him. He?s totally approachable and just a wonderful director. I?ve had a real blast of a time.

Ahmed: Working in Australia and working here on the set of Star Wars, what?s the difference? Are there any differences? Do you enjoy the acting process or is it just a big thing for you to be here on set?

Trisha: It?s a huge thing to be on the set, the process is basically the same, except it?s just a much bigger scale, a huge scale and that?s impressive.

?Most impressive indeed?

Ahmed: I?m sure it?s going to be the best. Your not going to know what she does. That?s right! I know. HA! I know but you don?t know. You?re just going to have to wait to watch it when it comes out. Check out starwars.com ?On Location? Episode II.

Ahmed: My name is Ahmed Best and you ain?t.

* Now for the very interesting part of this On Location clip. *

During this interview you can see two monitors behind Trisha. If you look closely you can see that they are playing back a scene, which they already shot. Why do they show this? It could have been unintentional, or was it a hint?. In any event I?ve provided the screens for you here.

Pretty cool eh? Our first glimpse of EP II a year and a half early. I?m pretty sure the one dressed in the red robe is Trisha but I could be wrong, it?s tough to tell. Does she play the mother to Padme and her siblings? Possibly the girl with her back to the camera is Natalie Portman. These scenes look like they take place inside the house you see in the background of this clip. There was mention on TFN a while ago about a scene with Padme?s family in a village outside of Theed. Wonder if this is it?
