GenCon SWTCG Championship Pictures Posted By Aaron on July 28, 2003
Philip Wise sends pictures from the 2003 GenCon SWTCG Championship Tournament. The event started with 98 players who had to qualify at various regional tournaments around the U.S. It lasted several hours from 12:00 noon on Saturday, until 2:00 AM Sunday morning, where the top and final 8 players battled it out until one emerged victorious.
The 1st place winner was Mike Bickford from Ohio. Besides being crowned the 2003 Champion, he also gets an extremely nice prize package. His winning deck was a Tusken Raider deck, which was reportedly unbeatable.
Congratulations to everyone that qualified to play in the event. Even getting that far meant beating some very tough competition around the country. The next big SWTCG tournament is DragonCon Atlanta in August.
