First-ever Star Wars CCG Online Tournaments Scheduled
Posted By Josh on February 6, 2007
On Saturday, 10th February AND Sunday, 18th February, there will be an Episode V-only constructed online tournament. In this format, decks may only contain cards from Hoth, Dagobah, Cloud City, Enhanced Cloud City, Third Anthology, ESB 2-Player, and Special Edition. NO objective or "insert" cards are allowed.
Virtual cards (except Starting Effects and Defensive Shields SEE BELOW) will be legal ONLY for the tournament on the 18th, and each vcard must be from one of the sets listed above.
ALL Starting Effects and Defensive shields (both virtual and non-virtual) are legal for both tournaments.
If you want to participate in either tournament (or both), we will meet in the Holotable lobby at 2.00pm Eastern Standard Time (GMT - 5). Both tournaments will feature four (4) games with Swiss-style pairings. There will be 1hr 30min time limits for each game. Also, each player will need both a Light Side and Dark Side deck as is standard for a tournament. There is NO cost to play in either of these online events.
ALL games will be considered "league sanctioned" so be sure to register at the Star Wars CCG Online League website before the tournament starts. It's totally free and only takes a couple of miuntes.
This is a two-part competition. Any prizes and awards will be given AFTER the completion of the second tournament on the 18th.
MTFBWY to all the participants in these two historic tournaments!
If you don't have the Holotable program, which is sponsored by TheForce.Net, be sure to download this "freeware" program first. Holotable is currently available only for Windows and Linux.
