"While DeckTech is promoting its event -- Freedom Con --as the World Championships for Decipher's games, Decipher will not recognize it as such. It can be sanctioned through the company's tournament program provided that all tournament requirements are met. The 2001 World Championships for Star Wars CCG, Star Trek CCG, Young Jedi CCG, and Jedi Knights TCG, which were to take place at DecipherCon 2001, were cancelled due to the company's concern for players' safety following the September 11 terrorist attack and resulting military action. World Championships and DecipherCon are scheduled to resume in November 2002.
