Slowly but surely DecipherCon 2000 is shaping up to be one monster event with more things to do than a New Republic bureaucrat. Some of the events that have been passed along to me will include autographs sessions, Q&As, seminars, a card design seminar where participants will help create a card for inclusion in a future expansion, and the first annual Decipher Olympics (with sorting competitions, card house building, and the card tosses)--you heard right, it's true, it's true.

If you're going to play cards all weekend there's plenty planned there as well. Of course there are the very important World Championships. But for those who did not qualify there will be special themed scenarios and other tournament formats. Some examples that you can expect to see will be Sealed Deck Iron Man, Kibitz, Planetary Subjugation (Young Jedi), Objective based, and a slew of others. In all there will be over 75 tournaments going over the weekend. No one will be able to say they are bored, believe me.

The Master of Ceremonies will be Decipher Net Rep, Mark Tuttle, and the convention will be taking place in Orlando, FL from October 5th-8th. For more information including the schedule of festivities visit Decipher's DecipherCon 2000 page.
