Over at the official site, the title for the fifth Star Wars novel in the Fate of the Jedi series has just been revealed: it's by Christie Golden, and it's called Allies.

No sign yet of a cover design or blurb for Allies, but the title has been revealed alongside an excerpt from the second novel in the series, Fate of the Jedi: Omen, also by Golden, which is appearing in the bookshops this week.

The series opener, Outcast by Aaron Allston, has been out for a few months now. Book 3, Abyss by Troy Denning will follow in August, then Allston's Backlash in January; Allies will appear in March. Four further novels - two by Denning, one each by Allston and Golden - are due to appear after that.

Kudos to Carlis over on our message-boards for catching this first. There isn't a discussion thread there for Allies itself yet, but you might want to check out the one for the just-released second novel in the series!
