Welcome to TF.N's Foreign Covers section !

Here you'll find the covers that differ from the American covers. Only covers that have different artwork are displayed here. So you won't find a cover where the only difference is the text.

You can of course join the Foreign Covers thread in the Jedi Council discussion forum if you want to say something about those covers.

Enjoy...

If you could get a scan of any cover that could fit here, and isn't displayed yet (or is displayed, but in low-res), then don't hesitate and send it here : covers@theforce.net

Many thanks to : Scott Chitwood, Britany, "Yishin", Mike Hathaway, Nick "Nom Anor" Hess, "ForceAlly", the SW Booklist, Machiel Hulsbosch, "Famo", Milan "Talon Karrde" Pohl, "Kast_Morben", "Chaussette", Matthieu Bonenfant, Akihiko Monnai, "Grand Admiral Rufaan Tigellinus", "Moff Sammael", famo, Michal "Mike" Herok, Machiel "THX 1138" Hulsbosch, Wedge, Yomin Carr and all the others I forgot.

The Japanese cover for Outbound Flight has arrived!

Click here to see it in high-res.

Also today we have the Japanese covers for the first two Last of the Jedi books: The Desperate Mission and Dark Warning.

You can click here and here to see them in high-res.

And as for the Dark Nest books...apparently there have been some weird things going on with the Star Wars license in Japan. It was supposed to change hands recently, but the old publisher is still putting out the books. Anyway, it looks like we'll be seeing The Joiner King in September!

Big thanks to Akihiko for the scans and the info!

As promised, here is the Japanese cover for The New Essential Chronology!

You can see the high-res version by clicking here.

And what about The Joiner King, you ask? Well, still no news on it. However, the cover we'll likely see next is Outbound Flight.

As always, thanks to Akihiko for the cover and the info!

Sat, Feb 4, 2006

StarWars.com has posted the Japanese cover for The New Essential Chronology. We should have a high-res version available here before too long, at which point I'll post it and add it to the Foreign Covers gallery.

Here's a nice Christmas present for you: the Japanese cover for Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader! Big thanks to Akihiko for sending it in.

You can see the high-res version here.

You may be wondering about the Dark Nest books. Word is that the Japanese release of The Joiner King has been postponed for a few months, but that the next release will be The New Essential Chronology in February.

Also, I put up this nifty new menu and logo that Prince Xizor created which will hopefully make this section a little more navigable.

Merry Christmas! See you in 2006!

Tue, Sept 6, 2005

Hello everyone! You may know me from the Jedi Council Forums as PEZman4. I'll be taking care of the Foreign Covers section here in Prince Xizor's absence. I'd just like to take a moment to thank him for giving me this opportunity and for helping me learn the ropes around here. I know we all appreciate him putting this section together and taking care of it for all these years.

Now then, we have two covers up for today: the first is the Turkish cover for the Attack of the Clones novelization, and the latter is a Japanese cover for the original comic adaptation of The Empire Strikes Back.

You can also view the AOTC cover at the new Turkish page here, and can see a higher-res version of the TESB cover here.

Here is the Japanese cover for Labyrinth of Evil, which was published way back in June.

And of course, high-res version.

Now, this is the last update from me, as I find myself lacking the time to manage this section of TFN. So it's time for me to move on. I'm proud to announce that my successor is the Lit boards' very own Pezman4, which I'm sure is gonna make a terrific job at continuing expanding this nice collection of covers. More updates are already on the way, and will probably be soon published.

I want to thank all the persons who helped me manage and expand this section by sending all those scans of foreign covers, and I hope it'll keep growing in the future.

Here comes Dark Rendezvous, Japan-style.

As usual - high-res cover available right here.

The next release in Japan is RotS, but as it will be a hardcover, it won't feature original art. That will be reserved to Labyrinth of Evil next June. Thanks Akihiko !

Tue, Feb 22, 2005

Brand new from Japan, the Jedi Trial cover.

High-res cover available here.

And Akihiko tells us the next one will be Dark Rendezvous in March. Thanks !

A new year gift from Japan : The Cestus Deception cover.

The high-res version is available here.

Next release, Jedi Trial in February. Thanks Akihiko, as usual.

Tue, Oct 13, 2004

The latest update : Survivor's Quest cover, straight from Japan! Thanks once again to Akihiko for the submission.

Of course, high res version available as well. You can see more of those nice Japanese covers right here.
