Got a bit of news and some links regarding Star Wars author Aaron Allston, who recently suffered a heart attack and then underwent quadrupel bypass surgery.


First off, see below for a small statement via a phone call from Mr. Allston from the Aaron Allston Info LiveJournal:


"I just got off the phone with Aaron. You are reading correctly here. :-)

He asked me to please tell everyone, "Thank you for standing by me." He also wished that he could come up with something more witty...

I told him that hearing his voice was very very good for my heart."

We continue to wish him well!!! Keep checking his LiveJournal community, set up by family and friends, for more updates.


Our friends at NJOE.com have created the "Get Well" Project:

"We’re going to collect handwritten well-wishes from fans across the world and send them to Mr. Allston as a bulk package. If you are interested in getting involved, all you need to do is open and print this PDF document that includes all relevant instructions, the required space for you to write your message, and the address to mail your message to. It is our hope that this becomes a worldwide display of our collective thoughts and prayers, wishing him a speedy recovery. So download the form, tell you friends, and get it in the mail: there is a very short deadline to receive your messages in order for us to send them to Mr. Allston in a timely manor, they must be post-marked by Saturday, April 11th. Please direct any questions about this effort to our forums."
