Fans have known for a while that a new Star Wars novel was due for release in February 2008—but until today, there wasn't a whisper of a hint what it was going to be about.

It's just been announced at www.StarWars.com that this will be Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor.

And it's going to be written by Matt Stover—an author known for writing stunning, powerful, paradigm-shifting books like the Revenge of the Sith novelization and, outside of Star Wars, the crunchingly awesome Caine series.

Matt Stover, meet Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars novels don't get much better than this.
