The glowing gases of Carida's exploded star funneled around them as space elongated. The Falcon shot into hyperspace, heading far behind enemy lines and deep into the heart of the remaining forces of the Empire.

location: Implies that the Caridan system is not in the Core. It must be in the Deep Core with the rest of the Imperial holdouts. Therefore "Deep Core" is not colloquially considered to be a subset of "Core" even though one is spatially inside the other.
