Report: Star Wars Detours Slated For May Digital Release
Seth Green and Matt Senreich's animated comedy series Star Wars Detours was revealed to much fanfare at Star Wars Celebration VI in 2012, but after Disney bought Lucasfilm, it shelved the project to focus on the new films. With the first new film well into post-production, Disney is apparently ready to let Lucasfilm release Detours—but not on television.
Jedi News, which reported on Wednesday that the six films would get a digital release in May, now says that the digital content plan also includes thirty Detours episodes.
The site also says, referring to Detours, that "a further 62 scripts were finished" on top of the episodes that were produced.
Lucasfilm has not commented on Jedi News' report.
Just for fun, here's a video from the Detours panel at Celebration VI featuring an appearance by George Lucas.
