Gamorrean Guard Busts Out Posted By Dustin on May 9, 2004
Gentle Giant Studios has turned their skills toward a sculptural depiction of one of Jabba the Hutt?s chief minions?the Gammorean Guards. These fellows, dominant on their home planet Gamorr, favor ancient weapons like the axe pictured. They are much too set in their ways to pick up a blaster! Gamorreans generally worked their way up from the slave class into their more appropriate work as guards and soldiers. Tricked by Jabba into serfdom at his palace, most came to a bad end as depicted in Return of the Jedi.
As always, Gentle Giant Studios, recent winners of Diamond?s Gem Award for best mini-bust of 2003, have created an elaborately detailed and highly collectible new edition to their growing cast of Star Wars character sculptures. It?s so real you can practically smell it. Almost.
On sale October 27, this statue stands 5 1/2" tall, comes fully painted, packaged in a full color box with certificate of authenticity, retails for $45.00, and includes a real metal axe blade and shoulder pads. Edition size not set at press time.
Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated.
