Infected Entertainment sent over the following press release for pop culture fans of various genres living in the Omaha, Nebraska area. Besides those listed in the press release, members of the 501st Legion Central Garrison, the Rebel Legion Central Base, and R2-Central will be on hand.
Contagion: Outbreak; a Family Friendly Event Coming to the Qwest Center Omaha June 10-12, 2011
Contagion: Outbreak is the Midwest?s newest pop culture event. The event will recognize and celebrate multiple genres including science fiction, fantasy, horror, anime, and more! Contagion: Outbreak will have a large exhibitor and vendor presence. Celebrities, interactive panels, displays, artists, authors, and more gaming than you can imagine will maintain the excitement Contagion: Outbreak promises to deliver!
Guest celebrities include; Jewel Staite (Firefly, Serenity, Stargate), Mark Ryan (The Transformers Trilogy, The Prestige), Steve Blum (Voice Actor), Gary Friedrich (Creator of Marvel?s Ghost Rider), Joe Schreiber (Lucas Arts licensed author of multiple Star Wars novels and Paranormal books), Larry Hama (Writer/Artist G.I. Joe), and one of the largest 2011 cast appearances from AMC?s The Walking Dead including; Chandler Riggs, Melissa Cowan, Sonya Thompson, Travis Charpentier, Alyssa Gruhn and Joe Giles.
Throughout the weekend of June 10th-12th, attendees are encouraged to participate in various activities.
Contagion: Outbreak will host a twenty-four hour gaming schedule, interactive celebrity, artist & author panels and a large selection of kid friendly activities. Prop replicas on display for viewing and photo opportunities will include a Lightcycle from the blockbuster hit ?Tron: Legacy?, KITT from the classic television show ?Knight Rider?, replica robots from ?Star Wars?, ?Lost in Space?, ?Doctor Who? and Motormaster from ?Transformers?.
Multimedia artists and authors will be on site to discuss their unique techniques as well as current and past projects. Fans of the multiple genres are encouraged to costume through the weekend as multiple costume contests will also be happening.
In addition to tournament style and casual gaming, Contagion: Outbreak will be hosting a Catan Championship Gaming Qualifier Event. The winner of this Settlers of Catan event will receive an expenses paid trip to GenCon 2011 in order to compete for the North American Title!
Contagion: Outbreak aims to bring together enthusiasts from many genres, with the goal of celebrating pop culture, fostering Midwestern communities, and encouraging a fun gathering that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Rebelscum Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Patch Posted By Philip on November 25, 2014: Thanks to everybody that ordered patches. I sent a check for $1,600.00 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation on Monday. While it's not as much as I hoped for, it's still very much appreciated. They will remain for sale in the store for anybody that still wishes to purchase them. Details after the jump.
