In case you've missed the SPOILER posts about a variation in the film prints of TPM, here's another report (HIGHLIGHT):

I live in Syracuse,NY and I just saw TPM for the second time. A day ago you said that you went to the premiere and maul was cut in half, i also saw this on the opening day. But when i saw it for the second time maul was not in half and it showed him falling backwards into the pit.

I was shocked at this!!! I could not believe it. after the movie we asked the manager (not the nicest of guys, and didn't really care about what we had to say) he said that they had four reels of the film and only one contained the ending of Maul as a whole. He had no idea why this was like this, but i definitely was not happy at the ending.....seeing maul in two halves is literally 10 times more exciting and interesting to see.

One of our contacts gave us this little tidbit that may help clear things up (HIGHLIGHT):

Okay. After talking to a few people, there is definitely two endings. It was done as a back-up just in case the ratings board wouldn't give the film a PG rating with the bisected Maul. I guess they didn't have a problem with it because that's what's in wide release.

So again, we have the reports of that different sequence in the film. While our staff has never yet seen the variation, it is possible, and we have been getting many reports of it. More soon!
