Top Marks For Topps' Revenge of the Sith Posted By Dustin on May 13, 2005
Topps has always managed to give their modern Star Wars trading cards a special twist to make them unique from each other. Revenge of the Sith is no exception and in some ways this set is the most fun of all.
There are seven ways to buy cards:
Single Foil Pack
24-Pack Retail Box
36-Pack Hobby Box
6-Pack Collector Box
2-Pack Blister Card
3-Pack Tin Box (6 unique lids)
There are literally more chase & promo cards than there are cards of the set itself. Here's a rundown:

90 Card Set, Promos & Exclusives The cards themselves are sturdy, shiny and fingerprint resistant, each with a foil stamp. The images are outstanding and the back of each card carries an entire paragraph of plot. The spoiler sensitive probably shouldn't even look at the picture, much less read the backs of the cards. On the other hand, those who do look and read will find that some of what is presented has been cut from the movie.
Embossed Foil Cards Each foil pack in the retail edition has a chaser of some sort. All chasers appear easy to find except the embossed foil cards which I have not been able to complete even after opening over 225 packs of cards! All 10 of the embossed cards are of a different Vader pose.
Collector Tins The tins each have two exclusive cards. One card reflects the picture on the lid. The other is randomly inserted. The tins themselves are smaller than their Episode I & II cousins, but are perfect at holding a full row of cards.
Linticular Morph Cards There are two linticular morph cards for the retail edition and two for the hobby edition. They are nice morphing cards transitioning one of four images of Anakin into Darth Vader.
Etched Foil Puzzle Cards The etched-foil puzzle cards create another 6 card image that also happens to fit together with the 6 card set from the Heritage series. Nice!
Hologram Cards The hologram cards are a fun surprise because they are cartoon images. Although these are not as nice as the 3D holograms presented as chasers in the past.
Stickers & Tattoos The stickers and tattoos are a young persons dream. Most are of the stylized Vader and Sith logos that have been seen at places like Hot Topic.
Sketch Cards And of course, the real reason to buy a hobby box is for the chance of getting one sketch card - all wonderful as usual.
Win Your Own Set! My obsession with trading cards is your gain! I have two spare sets for Rebelscum readers. Each has the complete tattoo and sticker sets as well as some of the other chasers.
