"I wanted to state that if you look at Palpatine is Episode 1 when he is 64 and
in Return of the Jedi were he is 100 you see alot of aging and he seems to be
very young for a 64-year-old in Episode 1.  Maybe Padme's race is not aging
quickly at all.  Maybe they have a genetic problem, but not one that relates
to aging.  It is possible Palpatine was thrown into chemicals or had some
other freak accident.  I also wanted to bring up that in Episode 3 Palpatine
is supposed to blame the Jedis for an atrocity they did not commit.  Maybe it
was for one they DID.  Maybe they attacked Palpatine and turned his body into
a living corpse or maybe the atrocity was what Obi-wan did to Anakin.  Maybe
Palpatine destroyed the Republic because of its inability to bring the galaxy
to order and Palpatine offered the Jedis a chance to join him and they refused
due to their loyality to the Old Republic.  If you look at Palpatine in Return
of the Jedi he doesn't seem that evil.  All he is trying to do is finally
restore order to the galaxy and turn Luke over to him, why?  He would help
keep the peace and take Vader's place as Palpatine was aware that Vader was a
traitor."
