With the highly anticipated game The Force Unleashed due out later this year, io9.com has decided to take a brief look at the various Star Wars video games througout the years. From The Empire Strikes Back game of the Atari 2600 to LEGO Star Wars of the next-gen systems, click here for your short history lesson.

"Hey there. I just found this. Gametrailers.com will be doing a 10 part retrospective on most Star Wars games to have come out. I'm sure they will touch upon the movies and books as well.
I think you may have to sign up for the site (free) not 100% sure but I can't wait. I watched the final fantasy retrospective and it was fantastic. 10-20 mins episodes each."
