Learning, The
this was the Keganite form of education. All children were required to take part in The Learning, which lasted until a child was sixteen years old. During their education, which took place in the Learning Circle, Keganite children were taught the basic tenets of the General Good. The teachers of The Learning, however, were given false and misleading information by the rulers of Kegan, V-Tan and O-Vieve. Much of this information painted a bleak and evil picture of the rest of the galaxy, aimed at maintaining the isolation of Kegan in order to avoid the tragedies of prophecy.
