this was the term used to describe a specialized form of computer slicer. Fixers hacked into corporate or government data centers and stole proprietary information, leaving forged - though bogus - data behind. They then sold the information on the black market. It was believed that the term "fixer" came from the Sullustan phrase tersish g'loc, which loosely translated to "fix them once and for all."
