Deck Sweeper
this was a model of stunning blaster produced by Merr-Sonn for use by police officers during the height of the New Order. It was originally developed based on the plans for the BlasTech DL-87 Firespray. Unlike the DL-87 weapon, however, the Deck Sweeper stunned its targets rather than injuring them. This gave the Deck Sweeper a slight advantage in firepower, and the ability to disable a large number of targets made it popular among pirates who didn't want to have the deaths of innocent people on their records. Despite its advantages, the weapon was nonetheless rejected by the Imperial military for the same reasons as the DL-87: a low rate of fire and short range.
