this was the military branch of COMPNOR, created to provide Emperor Palpatine with a loyal group of armed forces in the event that stormtroopers were unavailable. The formation of the CompForce branch came in the wake of the Clone Wars, when many former graduates of the SAGroups of the Commission for the Preservation of the Republic announced their support for the Empire. The actions of CompForce agents was monitored and directed by COMPNOR's Select Committee.
