Can-cell
this large, winged insect was native to the planet Kashyyyk. When on the ground, the cancell walked on six spindly legs. In the air, it used four long wings to propel itself, while its long, segmented tail provided stability. The average can-cell measured some three meters in length, and was an insectivore. The Wookiees of Kashyyyk considered the appearance of a can-cell to be a good omen, and often kep them as pets. The Wookiees also realized that can-cells could be used as mounts, but they were too big to ride the insects themselves. Instead, the handful of Aleena who lived and worked on Kashyyyk became the primary riders of can-cells. During the height of the Clone Wars, Aleena were hired as reconnaissance scouts, flying over enemy encampments to gather intelligence.
