this heavy-set man was one of the Outer Rim's most successful and notorious smugglers, during the years leading up to the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy. He had been a part of Talon Karrde's vast information network following the peace treaty signed by the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant, but was let go about three years later when Karrde finally decided to get out of the smuggling business. He didn't like the idea of being cut loose, and confronted Karrde's agent, Mara Jade Skywalker, with a demand for 500,000 credits as severence pay. To emphasize his demands, Huxley brought out a working, Clone Wars-vintage droideka to ensure her cooperation. Despite his confidence, Huxley was unprepared for Mara's use of the Force on Sinker, nor for the appearance of her husband, Luke Skywalker. Ultimately, Huxley found himself lucky to be alive. Mara agreed to provide him with 20,000 credits as payment for his services, and Huxley reluctantly agreed to the deal.
