this was an Outer Rim planet which was covered with shallow lakes and swamps. There was very little stable landmass, and the one patch of flat, dry ground served as the primary landing area for starships visiting the planet. A small group of human settlers developed a form of aquaculture in the marshes, tending paddies of waterplants and small fish.
