Wharen, Madel
this mechanical genius is the perfect example of an eccentric scientist. Madel dresses in three-day-old lab clothes and rarely showers. He was hired by the Drever Corporation, and worked his way up the ladder with his ability to create newer weapons and technologies. Madel Wharen was the inventor of the Phoenix Plasma Punch, which gained him entry to Drever's Board of Directors. However, Madel was also a supporter of the Alliance, which put him at odds with Jensen Drever II. His confrontations with Drever eventually resulted in two things: Madel himself was shipped off to a backwater research and development planet, and his family was placed under Imperial scrutiny.
