Succession Pool
this self-contained vessel of water formed the heart, lungs, and liver of a Yuuzhan Vong damutek. The Shapers who traveled to new worlds often filled the succession pool with native aquatic life, thereby feeding and sustaining the damutek. Waste material was also throw intot he succession pool, adding to the nutrients available to the damutek. The pool was filled from below, as the large roots of the damutek sucked up copious amounts of water from the crust of a world.
