a tree-dwelling rodent native to Yavin 4, it had protruding eyes and long jaws filled with sharp teeth. The stintaril moves on six legs. They often move in packs, devouring everything in their paths. Among the favorite food of the stintaril is the woolamander. Note that The Wildlife of Star Wars indicates that this creature is called a sintaril, and that it only has four legs. The stintaril was constantly hunger, having an extremely high metabolism, and any individual which failed to locate food could die of hunger in just a few hours. The long, knobby tail of the stintaril was completely hairless, and ended in a three-pronged "hand."
