this was the name of the Wookiee language known as the 'tongue of the Tree People.' It had a wide range of emotional adjuncts, and was primarily used for trade and travel. Because the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk was covered with dense forests, Shyriiwook provided many different words that translated into a single word in Basic. For instance, Shyriiwook had over 150 words for "wood", depending on grain, moisture content, and underlying structure.
